Once your Shopify store is set up, the work doesn’t stop.

Maintaining your store and having a robust marketing tool are part of the process of selling direct.

Shipping rates change, vendors come and go. Oh yeah, you’ll probably want to add all those new books you’re going to write. Also, create a new segment to target customers with that new book.

How much maintenance you need depends on a lot of factors.  We’ll discuss your needs as well as your desire/ability to handle (as much or as little) of the day-to-day maintenance tasks.  It’s your business and up to you how much we do and how much you do. We’re here to help.

MAINTENANCE

General Maintenance

General maintenance includes just about everything you need to keep your tools and services up and running on a day-to-day basis.  Things like:


Adding/removing/changing products

Updating prices

Adding products to collections

Updating home page with new products

Updating apps, themes & templates

Changing navigation

Updating flows, segments & images

Updating shipping profiles

Adding new tax regions

Setting up sales, promotions & coupons

Individual projects

Some things are larger in scope and don’t fit under general maintenance.  We still bill at the same rate, but we’ll provide a “not to exceed” quote for these services. Some examples include:


Launching print books for the first time

Launching merchandise for the first time

Launching a new pen name within the store

Installing & configuring specialized apps

Launching new lines of physical products

Adding a new POD vendor

Creating customer segments and flows

Launching new markets or region

CONSULTING

General Consulting Time

Have a technology question that doesn’t fit into the normal scheme of things?  Have a technology question outside of your Shopify store? We’re happy to schedule a zoom call to chat.

We have decades of experience with technology, and chances are we at least have an opinion on your topic.

A 30-minute minimum is required.

Before we schedule a call, you can email us your question/topic.  If we just can’t help you, we’ll tell you up front.

Pricing

Hourly rate: $60/hour

Maintenance, projects and consulting are hourly charge with a 15 minute minimum.

General working hours are Monday-Friday, 9am - 5pm (US Central time)

(we recommend saving small things to send in batches).

Emergency/Priority Maintenance

Priority (emergency) maintenance is billed at $80/hour with a $40 minimum charge.

Generally we can perform urgent maintenance requests the same day providing we receive the request between 7am and 9pm CST, Monday-Saturday.
