A lot goes into the decision to sell direct to customers.   The same is true for setting up a Shopify store.

When you contact us about a new store, we’ll schedule a time to talk through what you are looking for in a store. We want to understand what you want from a store, your goals, and any special needs you might have for your store.  We’d like to get to know you, your business and how you want your store to work.  If you have clear ideas, or if you “just don’t know”, we’ll work with you to determine what you need, and if we are a good fit.

Once we agree to move forward, we will quote you a “not to exceed” price for the work to build your store.

We ask for 50% of the total up front and the remainder of the cost at the “go live” of the store.

CREATION & SETUP

Each store creation and setup is as unique as the businesses we work with.  It can depend on multiple factors such as the number of books or products you have, if you sell digital-only products, or if you have specific needs for your store.  Generally, shops fall into one of the three tiers below. (*Please note: these costs do not include the annual Shopify subscription fee, any fees associated with applications that may be installed, or fees from third-party vendors. Prices for site creation are provided as estimates only.  Actual prices will vary depending on a multiple factors.  Please contact us to discus your site and to receive a more detailed quote.)

DIGITAL ONLY

For authors and businesses who only sell digital products
(ebooks, audiobooks, digital files, etc.)

Store setup & configuration

Setup of basic Shopify store (Includes: core settings, account info, checkout setup, creation of templates for products, pages, collections, collection lists and home page, basic shipping configuration, theming and branding of site to match your current website or brand, gift card setup)

Linking of your custom domain name(s) to store

Setup of payment methods (Shopify, Paypal, Amazon Pay)

Tax and duty set up (please consult an accountant for your specific needs and situation)

Setup of custom branded sending domain (for Google and Yahoo sending requirements)

Set up of US (or local country) market, and a “catch all” international market

Setup of store navigation and structure (pages, groups, collections, etc)

Creation and setup of store policies

Product loading & images

Entry of existing digital products

Creation and uploading of all product images and variants (ebook, audiobook, print, flat, etc)

Optimization of images as PNG and WEBP images for better site speed

Creation of custom product metadata fields as needed

Creation of individual collection pages as necessary

Advanced setup of custom filters and searches for site navigation

Physical Books (paperback/hard cover)

Setup of up to 2 print on demand vendors (BookVault, Lulu, etc.) for physical books

Configuration of shipping profiles for POD vendors/physical products

Set up of Iconic Element's "Meta Manager" system to easily manage multiple variants of the same product.
